Purchased from another FM'er, it came with a protective skin (do not know the make). I purchased this to try some wildlife work, but in the end, that isn't my thing so it needs a new home.
I run a Fred Miranda style centering test on most of my lenses and at 400mm this particular sample is excellent. I'll be attaching the images.
When the lens is extended it reveals a small mark that my fingernail passing over it barely feels. I never noticed this when using the lens, just when taking photos to sell it. So it certainly has not affected performance.
Zoom action and focus ring operate smoothly as they should.
It comes with a Kirk replacement Arca-style foot AND a very high quality 77mm protective filter.
Shipping & Paypal fees are covered by me. Any questions, don't hesitate to pm me.

p.1 #2SoldNikon Z 100-400 f4.5-5.6 lens
These 5 images are a Fred Miranda style centering test at 400mm. The photos are of of a power transformer 40 meters away.
All exposures are hand held wide open at f5.6 and ISO 500 - exposures very.
The 1st image has two ceramic spiral things in the center
The top left and bottom left images attempt to put those ceramic things near the corners
Then the camera is turned upside down and another set of images taken but these show the bottom right and top right areas of the frame.
It was hard getting the ceramic elements in the absolute corners but they are close.
ALL 4 corners come out very close to the center performance wide open. Another sample of this lens did NOT fair so well!
