Hello,
For sale is a Leica 35mm Summicron 8-element lens in excellent condition. It recently received a CLA from DAG and was given a clean bill of health. The service receipt is available to the buyer.
For transparency, the front ring is marked “Leitz Canada,” while the barrel is engraved “Made in Germany.” I asked someone at Leica New Jersey about this discrepancy, and he suggested that the lens was most likely manufactured in Germany, with the front ring later replaced by the Canadian subsidiary due to parts shortages. I cannot verify that explanation, but wanted to disclose the differing markings and share the information I received.
Priced competitively at 2600$ for a quick sale! Price is net, but includes 2-3 day UPS shipping within CONUS.
Thanks
