SoldNikon Coolscan 9000ED Film Scanner with Scharf Film Holder

Scanner is in great condition. I purchased the scanner earlier this year and the previous owner reported they had cleaned the mirror prior to the sale. Everything works great and the scans look fantastic.

Includes:

Nikon FH-869S - This is the standard 120 film holder. Works reasonably well when you have flat film to scan

Nikon FH-835S - This is the standard 35mm film holder. Works well for batch scanning

Scharf Magnetic Carrier / Film Holder - This kit is totally worth it for this scanner. Its a bit slow to use, but for scanning individual frames, it has given me some of the best scans. If you haven’t looked into these film holders, they are a custom 3d printed modular film holders that use magnets to hold the negatives flat. I find these really do an incredible job at squeezing every bit of quality out of a 120 scan.

A note to Mac users:
Apple officially dropped firewire support last year. I have used this scanner on Windows and Linux with zero issues. For Mac, you will either need to use an older version of MacOS or check out the ASFireWire project. Other users have tested the 9000ED with recent builds but I have yet to try it.
