Hi - new X2DII owner here (but I've used just about every other brand / format) and I have a question about AF accuracy.
With both the 28p and 35-100 lenses I seem to be able to consistently reproduce the behavior where unless the subject completely covers the AF box, in either AF-S or AF-C, the camera will most frequently focus behind the subject or at very least slightly off. I've tried different subjects, different backgrounds, all in good lighting with same behavior.
I don’t have this experience with my X2D2. But I might not be shooting or setting up the way you do.
Could you elaborate a bit more? What type of subjects? Distances? Apertures? Focus settings etc? I’d be happy to try and replicate your settings and see if it happens here.
