Nice touch there dismissing me as "out of touch" without knowing a thing about me or my background...
I have used open source software for years, decades actually.
My point was that the reality of what came out was nothing remotely close to the claims that were made and discussed here and elsewhere. Who knows, maybe someone (or some agents) will eventually produce a sophisticated set of software tools that equals or exceeds the capabilities of the Adobe Creative Suite, but this ain't it.
Also, don't overestimate the number of people who loathe Adobe. I"ve met them and I've criticized them myself in the past, but the fact is that their software works very well and is the standard across a range of uses beyond just photography. Your loathing of the company may be clouding your judgment.
And just because you "personally think that Adobe will be one of the first large software companies that AI is going to kill" doesn't mean it is true. (I can actually think of quite a few others that are more likely in trouble.)
