I assume Adobe can only succeed if they can prove he violated their patents, copyright or proprietary code. You wonder why anyone would challenge them, though, especially with something that’s free.

You have no idea what this software does in the background. It could have numerous security flaws, it could be uploading your photos to his personal cloud, or any other number of things.
