p.1 #1Any bracket or base plate for an A7R VI with VG -C6 battery grip
I’ve now got the relatively new A7R VI (A7R6) and added a VG-C6 battery grip to use with it and I’m trying to find a base plate or an L-bracket that can be used on this combination. The base plate or L-bracket will have to support an ARCA Swiss connection so it can be mounted into a ARCA Swiss compatible ball head or gimbal.
If anyone knows of one can you please share a lint or a model number so I can track it down. Thank you.

I know RRS make a L-bracket for an A1II w/grip. Not sure if it will fit a A7RVI. Especially the area around the mic jack, usb, hdmi doors. It is also extremely pricey.

If anything was available, I'm sure Google would tell you (it does not)
RRS, Leofoto, SmallRig have plates for A7RVI body only, but you probably know that.
So you have 3 choices:
Plate for body only
Universal plate
Get an A1II with grip plate and return if it does not fit.

I already bought a LeoFoto plate/L-bracket but interested in one that works with the combination body + battery grip.
I have sent RRS an email asking them if their A1II with grip plate will work but don’t expect to hear back from them since I only sent it earlier today and it’s the weekend. Haven’t identified a universal plate yet that will work. If anyone has one they can recommend let me know.

So I'm going on a commercial shoot that will be half portrait and half horizontal. I was waiting to see if RRS or Pro media gear would release an L arm for the a7rvi with the battery grip. It has not happened yet. For giggles, I took my RRS L arm from my a7rIII (with grip). It fits but blocks the battery door by a hair. All other doors you have access. So in a pinch, it works and its simple enough to remove for battery changing. I'm guessing newer models work even better. Som if you have one already...give it a try. Some people have the grip and just charge in camera. If this is you just use the older grip until a prper one is released.

You'd have to loosen it to get the battery tray out.
