Besides still photography, I have had some modest experience with video. DaVinci Resolve by Black Magic is a significant player in professional video editing with both free versions and paid versions available. The free version is terrific and no real need to purchase the paid version unless you are collaborating with others on a production. The newest release has added a whole host of still editing features. Like some of you, I have had a burr under my saddle with Adobe for a long time and want to give these new features in Resolve a try as an alternative to LR-PS. If you take a look at the app and propaganda, would appreciate opinions on the new Resolve features...and it's FREE. Be fore warned, Resolve is a beast and does require that you learn a lot to make it work, but so do the Adobe apps. There are pleanty of Resolve tutorials on their site and a ton of stuff on Utube.
