Cherry Lake, CA. This sapphire blue lake sits just outside the western border of Yosemite National Park. It's roughly 4 miles long and about a mile wide; and that balding mountain in the background is about 8 miles distant, the breeze and moderate temperatures keeping the air pretty clear. I took a handful of shots and this particular one, with wind whipping complimentary patterns on its surface, spoke to me in mono.

Thank you Brent. I'm actually finding I like this particular midway format a lot with wide-angle shots -- when 16:9 isn't quite enough and 65:24 camera pano is too much
