I went out and decided to shoot only square format, and processed with DxO Film pack Portra 400. These are with the R6 Mark II with Voigtlander VM 21mm f/3.5, TTArtisan 50mm f/1.4, and Zeiss Contax G 90mm f/2.8:
One of the more surreal experiences of my life: flying from Doha to Nairobi, over KSA and Oman. The sky was _yellow_, or orange. All of the images below have been _desaturated_ and color corrected: they should be like normal daylight photos, at 6500K or so; they are all set to 4100K, to _reduce_ the yellow. It was truly surreal, like something out of Bladerunner 2049.
I would love to actually visit those dried "lakes between dunes" at the KSA-Oman border, but I can imagine that's logistically not easy...
