I come to you guys first because I regard you as the nicest and most professional group of photographers on the internet.
I fell in love with photography 25 years ago as an 11-year-old kid. That spark never left me, but financial hurdles have left me completely broke and unable to upgrade my gear. I'm putting a bold ask to you guys: Does anyone have an old Canon 24-105mm F4 L, a 24-70mm F2.8 L, or a full-frame Canon 6D gathering dust in a closet?
If you have gear you no longer use, donating it to me would quite literally change my life and give my dream a, somewhat, modern pair of wings.
Right now, I am struggling to keep up using a 2009 crop-sensor Canon 1D Mk IV and a lens from 1989—which is ironically the exact year I was born! I still have the passion and the skill, I just desperately need the tools. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!
