For sale is an exceptionally clean Leica M-D (Typ 262) in the original black paint finish, serial no. 5150521, order no. 10 945.
This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of Leica’s famously minimalist digital rangefinder, offered with its complete original retail packaging, factory documentation, and original accessories.
Condition
The camera is in near-mint, collector-grade condition and has seen extremely limited use.

I purchased the camera privately in Hong Kong and have owned it for approximately five years. It has been used extremely little during my ownership and has been stored in its original packaging essentially the entire time.
I do not have the original purchase receipt.

Why the M-D Is Special
The Leica M-D (Typ 262) occupies a unique place in Leica’s digital history.
The M-D was Leica’s first serial-production digital M camera designed without a rear display. Introduced in 2016, it deliberately eliminated the LCD and returned the photographer to the essential M experience: compose through the rangefinder, set shutter speed, aperture, focus and ISO, then take the photograph without reviewing it on a screen.
It followed the extraordinarily limited Leica M Edition 60, introduced in 2014, of which only 600 examples were produced. The M-D brought that screenless concept to Leica’s regular-production digital M line.
For collectors, the combination of the black paint finish, exceptionally low use, complete original packaging, matching serial documentation, and original factory inspection certificate makes this a particularly desirable example.
