Visiting glaciers is always special for me a I took a class in Ice Age History in College. We experienced drizzle and mist as we traversed all of the trails in the park enjoying the views and seeing a very scared and stressed moose near the main trail as we left the park. People were being very loud, not the solitude we had for a good part of our hike.

Nice work capturing the essence of the day in typical tricky AK conditions. The first is a very striking abstract, like the tongue of a great beast licking the ground.

Nice pictures Morris! The 70-300 mm seems to be very handy in Alaska. I am sure you were having fun using your 500 mm lens while photographing eagles :-)

Yes I took some lovely bald eagle photos and you can see them in the nature and wildlife forum. The 500mm was also useful in Denali NP for a great assortment of large mammals. I like to use the 70-300 for isolation shots and I was also using my 10-24.
