I haven't shot macro in ages... the grasshoppers are in full force this year and I thought it might be fun to dust off the macro lens and flash and chase some insects around.

I'm pretty rusty, be gentle, I need to chase the bugs more often, I forgot how much I enjoyed it.
Excellent shots. Other than a few small hot spots, the flash has had a very nice natural impact on the scene. The work of the flash is barely visible which is a testimony to its great performance.
I recently got the Godox MF12 twin flash. Today for the first time I took out it with me. I was using the Sigma 100-400mm lens + Canon 500D close-up filter. I found the weight of the flash at the end of the lens (at 200-300mm range) was pressuring my hands and wrists. I just got back and haven't downloaded the photos yet. On another note, I have a Laowa 180mm macro lens on order. It is a much lighter lens than the Sigma tele zoom. I can't wait to try that combo. I am sure the weight will be much less stressful.
