p.1 #1Calaska #3 - land and sea
The final batch of land-based images from the Juneau icefield. Still have a good deal of drone shots to process.

Larger size images from this and past trips in Alaska and the Yukon are here
https://bboyanov.com/gallery/index.php?/category/the-far-north

#1 Glacier overlook

#2 Glacier detail - curved ogives

#3 Abandon all hope. As beautiful as the location was, we were stuck under a static marine layer for 3 days. One of the trip mates was hell bent on getting a photo of some lupins, but the light never really cooperated

#4 Where did all the light go? Waiting and waiting for the sun

#5 Relentless... Occasionally the marine layer would throw us a bone

#6 The moraines of the Gilkie Glacier

#7 Infinity pool

#8 Fire and ice

#9 Double window - a snow cave with precariously thin ceiling

#10 Bubble feeding - at the completion of the trip I jumped on a whale watch boat, the humpbacks were going a bit bezerk on account of the unusually clear water

Very nice set, Geek, I like it when humans are included in landscapes, beyond just adding a sense of scale!

An interesting way to put it

Eh, humans for sense of scale can be deceiving. All three images with humans in them are at pretty much the same scale of the landscape, but the focal length varies from 14mm for #3, to 35mm for #7, to 300mm for #$

Here is one from last year, from a location that is 5-10 miles away, but at 12mm. The scale of the landscape is similar, but the focal length makes it look much bigger.

Spectacular landscapes! The one with the humpbacks is extra special -- seeing that many together is a treat! I have to admit that I'm not a fan of posed human shots or those advertising particular brands, but they may be marketable..........

Me neither. I prefer the landscape free of human structures and figures.

The only posed one is the infinity pool. I had the camera on 20s delay and was running back and forth. I debated whether to clone out the tent but decided to leave it.

Everything else is opportunistic, just trying to catch people at the right time.
