True. Same with prices. Since Fuji just announced 400mm with same price and weight as Nikon's I wasn't really sure about half LB saving. Generally similar lens from all manufacturers in same generation have same weight. Not giving up the hope though.
Weight of long lenses is dominated by the required aperture diameter. This is why the Fuji 400/4.5 not lighter than a full frame 400/4.5.

The OP has removed the image om the rumoured lenses in this thread
The OP has removed all wording from all of his posts in this thread too. They didn't even mention an announcement date yet today, the day the SAR admin said his trusted source had told him they were going to be announced, this thread topic is edited too. I don't get it.
How2fly did mention earlier that they were prototypes, so maybe we'll see them at a later date, maybe in a month, or a year. Or never. I think the Sigma 500/5,6 is pretty enticing.
Yep, a nice lens and a definite benchmark for Sony to beat
On one hand I like how open the E mount system is, but on the other you do feel the restrictions more on certain types of lens
Don't think ive ever missed the ability to shoot at 30fps on my viltrox 35 or 135, sometimes miss it on my 300-600
I'd give serious thought to a lightweight, native 600/6.3 option despite having a 'better' non native option already
Hopefully not an elaborate wind up on the price or specs

That happened several days ago and was documented more than once in this thread.

I still believe the rumored 4.5/400mm and 6.3/600mm will be release soon, at a slightly later date. It happened with 100-400mm F5.6-8, where SAR got everything correct except for the release date.

Judging from this and many other rumor threads, there are a contingency of people who really want to believe such rumors even if the counterfacutals are staring them in the face (just scroll up a few posts and see).

Aha, you're right, thanks.

There have been no postings on SAR since the fisheye zoom announcement. There are later postings on his m43 site.
Unless he's dealing with a family emergency, going AWOL after repeatedly telling us when to expect the announcement strikes me as a poor choice.
Just telling folks that he's looking into the discrepancy and will report back ASAP would go a long way.
The admin of Fujirumors was covering for him yesterday (when these lenses were supposed to be announced), the admin of SAR wrote prior to this date that this was going to be the case. Something personal. You can check the admin of Fujirumors' comment in the fisheye news item (latest article right now) on SAR.

I am still waiting for the 1.4X TC version 2 and the 16-28mm f/2.0 GM which was leaked together with the two 100-400s and A7V
