To this day, I still don't understand the point of using compressed RAW files.
I'm not going to buy a €5,000 camera just to save money on memory cards.

Sony A1: If you want 30 fps, you need to use compressed RAW.
There is no saving money on memory cards. If not wanting 30fps, Lossless Compressed RAW can be used.
Compressed RAW and Lossless Compressed RAW are similar file size.
There are other cameras, other reasons.

Compressed Raw on A7R6 : Half filesize, dubble the AF calculations and faster readoutspeed from sensor.
