Just ordered from Batch #5 the Bertele 5cm f2.0. Not to be shipped until Summer of 2027, but at least I have pre-ordered it.
My 35mm NK 35-25 is a very interesting lens from my Nikonos days. Soon to shoot it against other 35mm.
I will try them on my M262 just to see what their character actually looks like on that camera with a character all its own.

I have the Pantessa 35 f3.5. It's my EDC. I posted about it HERE.
Lovely rentering at a lens cap size. It's a real struggle to have to pick between that and the steel rim reissued when I want to go out with just a 35mm. The OOF area looks pretty decent too for a f3.5. It's quirky with huge focus throw, and the exposed helicoid is kind of weird, but the amount of work it took to optimize a classic lens does justify the price.

maybe they will continue until demand drops off

Just received an email from them saying that because demand is very strong for the 5cm f2.0 that they are going to bring production forward and sooner than originally planned.

The never said it was a limited collectable so as long as they have customers they should make money and produce them there are at least hundreds of possible customers.

Here I was talking about the reasons I wouldn't get one yet after receiving the email and seeing the new nickel plated finish... I am once again looking at reviews and sample pics wondering if I need yet another 50... All the quirks aside, the rendering is so lovely. Whether or not I would be able to capture anything close to worthy of it's design and pedigree is another question.
Also saw Hamish from Omnar's comment on the PetaPixel video about this lens regarding the exposed helicoid:
"It’s really not the issue you might imagine - we’ve sold hundreds of lenses using this design now, and none of them have come back to us with issues with the helicoid. In fact, we have only had 4 lenses back to us - all of which we have ended up fixing without charge I should add - and none with helicoid issues.
Chris, our lens designer’s thoughts on this: “In fact, any dust/detritus comes out naturally usually. It cant really go in and get jammed… it comes back out. Its almost like a self cleaning system, due to how brass on brass peform natural anti-friction movements and the helicoid thread gaps are so tiny (like 15 micron gap)… even a human hair cant go in.”
Happy to field any more questions about this sort of stuff via email. There’s a lot of comments here on YouTube, many of which I won’t dignify with a response, but I can see how this naked helicoid “issue” would concern some people, so I thought I’d share some thoughts here… I hope they help, or at least provide some food for thought."

Just looked at comparison shots with my NIK35/2.5 and it compares very well compared to the other 35's I had on this trip-VM35/2.0 Ultron, LLL 35/2.0 8 Element, VM 35/1.2, 35/1.4 SR, LLL 35/1.4, 35/2.0 KOB_Canada.
Now to try the MS Optics Perar II. It is so tiny that it even has a screw-on rear protector cap found under the normal M rear cap. It is for sure the lightest 35mm I own.
