This time of year in Anchorage there is a small group of photographers who arrive at an urban park, Potter Marsh, to go bear hunting. The bears, both black and brown come into Rabbit Creek before dawn looking for salmon. Some of us get there before light while it is still dark to sit quietly and wait. The bear does not like being watched so we are all quiet, respectful, and try to keep a low profile to have our shot at bear hunting. This is some of our group doing our thing for a few weeks in Alaska fall (which is now). he salmon are almost done, maybe another week of our photo meetup and then it will have to be next year. This is a photo essay of our group this year.
