p.1 #1 · Voigtländer 21/4 Color Skopar with the Leica M (Typ 240)

Has anyone used the Voigtländer 21/4 Color Skopar with the M240? I've got one coming from eBay. I have read of 'magenta disease' (magenta fringe at side of image) curable by coding or selecting the right Leica lens, i.e. the 21/2.8 11134. Or going monochrome 😀

Haven't tried it myself, but from what I've read, coding it as 21/2.8 (11134) reduces the magenta fringe (Italian flag) corners but doesn't fully eliminate it, and it seems to get worse at higher ISO. If it were me, I'd either get the CV 21mm f/3.5 Color-Skopar instead (it's a newer design optimized for digital sensors and doesn't have this issue), or keep CornerFix/Lightroom flat-field correction in your workflow to clean up the f/4's corners in post.

Thanks for replying! I've got Cornerfix downloaded and ready; I also have a whole bunch of software including DxO PureRAW, and I'm not afraid of a challenge! Some people I have seen online say the M240 and this lens play nicely together for them.
