p.1 #1 · Patterns/Repetition Image Question

I'm in a club and we've got a competition on Patterns/Repetition. I'm stuck between these submissions - I'd ask for any feedback on these.

Not sure what the club would like, but for an image to meet those exact terms, the first one is kind of ruined by the car (and to me, a very ugly one, but that is me).

The 2nd one is a good example of the patters and repetitions, and some color options thrown in. It might have been more precise for the task if you were 10 feet to the left and angled back, but no idea what is there. Would have made the last 4-6 a bit more "in the pattern", even if we know the pattern is there.

Go with #1 if you want more reaction.

Please don't use the cyber truck in your composition, unless you want unnecessary attention. If you have a chance to reshoot, try other perspectives. If not, at least crop the photos to emphasize the patterns. Something like this, may be? It's too extreme, but just focusses on the patterns and the trees provide scale.

I’m torn on the truck. I tend to not like it, but it creates a juxtaposition or 1960s organic to modern industrial angular.

My argument for not wanting the truck is purely from compositional point of view. As a rule of thumb, "less is more" works better in any photograph. When you are photographing for a specific theme (in this case "patterns"), it is so much more important and that is my feeling. Inclusion of the truck directly contradicts with the theme and acts more of a distraction than helping it. In any other context, I understand your point of view.
