Masterful "j-man"!
Love "junk"! Maryland outlawed "auto graveyards" many years ago. Yes they are an eyesore but........!

My very first "car" came from one..actually it was only the frame...it was a 1962 Corvette...the fiberglass and all else was destroyed in a wreck/death but amazingly the frame had only a few "bends" in non critical areas.
There were areas that had minor frame damage. Those could be were repaired properly with a good torch and mechanic.

I live in an agricultural area and farmers found ways to repair pastures that had gulleys. Old cars was 1 way "to fill the void" literally and figuratively"!! and it worked wonderfully!
Super series here!! "D" Wonderful irony!!

Tires? Those also....

Dan

I have to ask..was the Corvette "just there" or staged? masterful also!

Anybody here know how to recycle old tires into "something" other than an eyesore and "cost"?

Whoever can figure that out is the next billionaire!

Thanks Dan! Interesting that Maryland outlawed junkyards, I wasn’t aware; I do tend to find a certain beauty to them. Photos A and C are actually the result of using old cars to fill a void in a pasture. I just so happened to stumble upon that Corvette while lost in a parking garage.

It’s pretty wild society still has no real solution for waste tires, an issue that does not go away with electric vehicles.

Junkyards built or expanded after January 1, 1968 must have an SHA junkyard license and conform to all federal and State regulations............"

The restriction put on having this license to exist have had "auoto junkyards" gone. Now appapently there are some left, but one cannot see them from "the road".Junkyards built or expanded after January 1, 1968 must have an SHA junkyard license and conform to all federal and State regulations...."

Yeah the "tire issue" is a major one especially since the "steel belted radial" tire. Extracting the steel from the rubber then recycling both? Major expense but with America's inginuity, someone will find a way to make beaucoup bucks when they do!

Maryland is pretty resourceful as they use "tires" to build oyster reefs for the reproduction of oysters. But just a drop in a bucket..
