But of course the Internet is obsessed by 10 extra mix nobody will never see, etc when one can still shoot excellent pictures with a 30 or 60 years old camera, a film and one MF lens.
This is not to say that I do not appreciate modern tools, I shoot with a A7r V amongst others, I clearly have GAS but I'm always amazed about long discussions about gear and nobody ever posting a picture.

BTW, I wonder if you read what I wrote: when did I say that those choices did not matter? When did I talked about aperture?
I talked about "the system", i.e choosing brand X vs Y, etc. I'm sorry if I offended you by expressing something too subtle compared to "what gear choice will make me a better photographer" but you should not feel the need to be agressive each time someone does so.
