V6 (ASPH II) Improvements Over V5
This lens is the later V6 (ASPH II) version, which incorporates several notable improvements over the earlier V5 model:

Enhanced Aperture Design: V5 lenses utilize an 8-blade aperture, while the V6 features a 9–11 blade aperture design, producing a rounder aperture shape and smoother, more pleasing bokeh when stopped down.

Premium Metal Lens Hood: V5 models include a clip-on plastic square hood. The V6 upgrades this to a robust screw-on, all-metal rectangular hood featuring a cut-out viewing window to minimize rangefinder/viewfinder blockage.

Thread Protection Ring: V6 lenses include a dedicated screw-in thread protection ring that protects the filter threads when the hood is not attached.
