p.1 #1Sony RX10v alert
Just unpacked the RX10v and was surprised/dismayed that there was no battery charger or charging cord. Yes, I know, I could have done a more thorough research. No problem, fortunately the charger and cords from my A1 and A7RIII are compatible.

Just wanted to give a heads-up to anyone buying this camera so you know you won't be using your new camera until you also buy a cord and/or charger. Sony really "cheaped out" on this one.

In this day and age who doesn't have a drawer full of USB-C cables and chargers?

With that said, it is definitely Sony cutting corners and saving pennies.

How many times must it be said that cameras no long come with chargers (and now cables) because of EU e-waste regulations? This has been happening for years now.

a lot of electronics company now do that for some of their product lines where they skimp on some basic accessories under the assumption that customers will already have access to those stuff. Also saves them some $ too for their bottom line lol.

I think it may be due to the EU's common charger rules that require unbundling of chargers with devices.
