I got a new scanner the other day and have been busy digitizing some old slides. This one was actually shot by my dad, who was a career pro photographer -- a lot of his work is archived at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
This is a photograph of my two daughters and every time I look at it, my heart melts. The oldest daughter in the image is now a mother of eight children, and a grandmother of eight grandchildren -- life is short.
Photography freezes precious slices of it.
