Greg, do you mean SL2 firmware 6.3.0 release on 08/06/26? BTW, for the SL2 the firmware it's not shown on the Leica download site for the SD card (right now) because of a typo. Click on the second SL2-S download and the file calls out that it is for the SL2. I haven't downloaded the update yet.

Yes, thanks for pointing that out, I had the current version stuck in my head. I got an email and the app had it ready to install, so I didn't bother going to their download website. Thanks again for the correction!
I would assume this new SL2 firmware is for the two new upcoming Leica L mount lenses, namely the 100mm macro and 50mmf1.4? Are there any new features included in this firmware update? I assume there is also a new firmware update for the SL2-S too?
I just updated my SL2 with the 6.3.0 release via the SD card and all is well. Leica offered to save my profiles on the SD during the update process and I did. I imported the profiles back in afterwards and all my settings are there. My attached 90/2.0 was updated also after the restart.

I didn't see the option in the app update, but knew from experience to back up profiles.

According to the email I received, it made some minor updates including resolving excess battery drain while using bluetooth. Other updates seemed more geared towards video.

Thank you! I will also have to see if there is also a new firmware update for the SL2-S too.
