p.1 #1 · Sony A1 mark ii video AF tracking wildlife

I have been setting up my Sony A1 mark ii for wildlife video for moving subjects. I would like to have my autofocus track birds in flights and erratically moving animals. Using touch tracking for fast moving subjects does not work if the subject is already moving. When I click the back button autofocus I don't get any dancing after points like I do with photography autofocus. I also don't get a tracking box around the subject. I have subject detection on and continuous autofocus selected and have tried pulsing the back button autofocus button to select the subject. It's manageable for still subjects but doesn't work well for moving subjects. I am guessing this is user error as my Nikon z8 tracks just fine in video with a tracking box etc. and it's an older generation camera.

I'd strongly suggest getting Steve Perry's excellent A1 II set-up guide. It covers everything in detail.

PS - Sorry, I didn't see you were looking for VIDEO help - S

Steve's description of his E book says "photos only, I don't do video". I think Mark Smith has an A1 II guide that covers video but it's not cheap.
