I recently sold my Canon R6 and all my canon glass and picked up an XM5 to replace it for the videos I make which are mainly for social media and an occasional YouTube video. I found myself taking my XE4 and 35mm F2 for photos every where and only using the R6 for some silly videos (mainly making coffee lol).
I’m looking to pair a few cheaper lenses with the XM5 and wanted to see if I am on the right track or if I havnt considered something I should.
For my talking head videos I mainly used a 28mm F1.8 and always wished it was a little wider, so I am thinking a Viltrox 15mm F1.7 would do the trick. I also used an 85mm F1.8 for the coffee content (as well as a 50mm 1.4) and figured my current 35mm F2 and adding a Viltrox 56mm F1.7 would cover that. I didn’t know if there was something else I should look at, or if this was the move. Appreciate you letting me bounce my ideas off of you.
