p.1 #1Loxia 2/35 focus magnification issue
I really like my Loxia 35 (bought used) but it has the known focus magnification issue which annoys me. My other Loxia's (25, 50, 85) dont have this issue at all. I'm using them on my A7R III.

I'm considering replacing the 35 with another used copy which doesn't have the issue.

Question: is anyone using the 35mm on an A7R III which doesnt experience the focus magnification issue?
Anyone succesfully replaced their loxia with another copy to get rid of the magnification issue?

I use the Loxia 2/35 on my A7R IV. Often when the lens hasn't been used for some weeks or so, the aperture displayed in the viewfinder is jittery and it will jump out of magnification view. When I turn the aperture ring back and forth a few times, the issue disappears. It seems only newer cameras like the A7R V or A1 have this issue much more seriously with Zeiss and Voigtländer MF lenses.

I used the Loxia 35 on a A7IV and now on A7RVI and on both the issue is there.
It is really related to the lens ; mechanical issue.

The workaround is to assign a button to the magnification and disable the auto-magnification.

So probably other Loxia 35 will behave the same on my camera body? In that case I wont try other copies and just live with it.

I overcome jittery issues by stopping down the lens 1f stop and focusing as such.
