My best ultrawide is an 18- the Milvus F-mount has been problem-free down to 950nm. My second best is the 7Artisans 14/2.8, which is good down to 720nm. Have you tried the Viltrox with a filter on the lower end of the spectrum?

Many thanks for those two excellent suggestions - different price points but very promising. I've not tried the Viltrox 14mm at less than 850nm but will give it a go.
Holga 120N with the same pushed film. The lens is better on the Holga but the shutter speed is faster so you need very bright conditions for it to work handheld.
