This is a lovely set of flower photos Malka. For the first and the last you might want to darken the bright areas. The first is a very pretty flower, what is it? Do you get any hummingbirds?

Thank you Morris for your feedback and pointers. I'll give it a try, see what it looks like if I dial the highlights lower.
It's a gladiolus. The best type of flower for my black thumbs - plant once and it keeps coming back every year.
Would love hummingbirds in my yard! Will probably need the special feeder and lots of patience. One day.
