I couldn't find a thread on this, I just got the FE 300mm f2.8 GM OSS lens and took a quick shot with the 2x teleconverter. It looks like there are no Lightroom profiles for this lens with teleconverters. Is that right, it seems so strange since that a big use case for this lens.

What do you do? Just use without a profile? I checked Adobe's technical data and even the new FE 100-400 f4.5 GM has profiles both with and without teleconverters.

It seems to me that lens profile is more beneficial in (ultra) wide angle lenses. You can clearly tell the difference between without and with incorporation of lens profile. Tele photo lenses has minimal distortion and most of the time, the composition of telephoto lenses doesn't include straight lines and the shallow depth-of-field doesn't accentuate vignetting. Of course, it won't hurt to have profiles for every lens, including the addition of a TC but the benefit is not readily apparent.

I just manually select Sony FE and then it picks the 600/4 for a profile....I don't know if I'm missing anything or not.... 🤷🏼♂️
