That "area" lends itself to folklore...leadership, conflict, peace(?), let's say "mutual 'at arms'....very well conveyed here. Yes a study in "composition" here...

Yes, the conditions in Scotland are not always, to engage in a bit of understatement, conducive to easy photography. ;-)
It is gray a lot. It rains. It can be quite windy. (Don’t be fooled by those tourism websites and pamphlets full us sunny, warm looking photos. That happens, but it isn’t the usual.)
But I generally prefer at least some clouds and “interesting” and moody light, and that abounds here.
