Thanks - I saw that however is a bit high level - yesterday I wrote to Atomos and already received a reply about the A1 II and A9:
"The Sony A1 II is fully supported for USB-C Camera Control and Touch to Focus with the Shinobi II.
The Sony A9 has not been officially tested with the Shinobi II. Since it uses the same Sony Desktop Imaging Edge protocol, Camera Control should work.
Touch to Focus, however, requires camera specific firmware support on the Shinobi II, and firmware for the Sony A9 has not yet been released, so Touch to Focus is not currently available.
For the connection, we recommend using a high quality USB C to USB C cable that supports both data transfer and charging. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable rated for at least 10 Gbps from a reputable brand should work well. A 2 meter cable from brands such as Anker, Cable Matters, Belkin, or UGREEN is a good choice."
