Sadly my 83-1/2 old macula degenerated eyes and body (!) are saying this beauty is hard to justify keeping, especially given I'm a wide angle landscaper by nature. But I'm having fun at birding and will look for some lighter alternatives. So that's why I'm selling, for the curious among you.

Unless my delicate old hands have left some microscopic "dent" in the lens hand holding it, it is truly a 10 and indistinguishable from new. It has made 3 "expeditions" out back door over "rough terrain" of a wooden deck, to capture examples of the wild in my neck of the woods. Oh, and one trip out the front door to do some centering tests on a power transformer about 95 feet away (passing nicely).
It was acquired from an FM'er in great shape and it leaves me in the same condition.
I will only sell this WITH the filter which is valuable protection. The attached photos show lens quality with not only the filter attached but a Viltrox 2.0 TC attached as well.

I have no other experience with tele-converters other than this one. From what I can see, there seems to be excellent "synergy" between it and the 400.
The TC attaches to camera with normal tension but the fit to the lens is tight (but not too...)
NOTE: I am going to give the lens purchaser the first option to buy this before selling on its own.
