I headed straight to one of the smaller ponds at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside NY when I arrived. As the pond came into sight I spotted a Snowy Egret Fishing and started to move into position. As I was lining up my background it blasted off and I felt disappointed yet I captured the blastoff and more in pretty soft light and a lovely environment.

2) I was delighted to see it landing

3) It walked back to the center of the mirror smooth pond

4) And began to fish. I had a huge smile as I looked at that reflection and background

Beautiful crystal clear pictures! They are all great, I like the last one the most - one leg up, posed to strike.
