A Snowy Egret on a smokey morning
p.1 #1A Snowy Egret on a smokey morning
I headed straight to one of the smaller ponds at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside NY when I arrived. As the pond came into sight I spotted a Snowy Egret Fishing and started to move into position. As I was lining up my background it blasted off and I felt disappointed yet I captured the blastoff and more in pretty soft light and a lovely environment.

1) Liftoff
2) I was delighted to see it landing
3) It walked back to the center of the mirror smooth pond
4) And began to fish. I had a huge smile as I looked at that reflection and background

The bookends for me on this scenic set Morris, with the last shot being the winner. You got there just in time.

Beautiful crystal clear pictures! They are all great, I like the last one the most - one leg up, posed to strike.
