STUNNING Gary!
I would have guessed a macro lens but not a long zoom! Wonderful photography! Bokeh is wonderful!
Again GREAT compositions!

Appreciate the comments Dan. I can't get close enough to use a macro lens. With an 800mm (equivalent) FL and a MFD of just over 4 feet, this lens is ideal for these little bugs. I can usually come very close to filling the frame, depending on the composition.

These are all excellent Gary yet I feel you got the balance of OOF background and sharp subject perfect in 3.

Thanks Morris
For NOT shooting with a "macro" lens, these ARE exceptional Gary!
Well i guess I have the "scent" that other creatures accept then Gary! The "live insects" butterfly and such, shows I photograph, are early in the morning so the "flyers" are still a bit "groggy" from the cool indoor ac...makes "up close" very personal!
My yard is another situation....I have to "approach" cautiously" but it seems to work..so far!!..
