To get everything sharp I did a handheld focus stack (one shot focused very close, then another at mid distance) to capture the line of shadows in this little wash leading up to the hoodoo.

Focus stack is successfully done - very detail description in whole frame

Nice job on the focus stack Jim, looks good so crisp from foreground to background! I like the warm light and leading line too!

Thanks for the comments guys. These hand held stacks don't always work perfectly so I was psyched when this one did.
