But now focusing is really hard - stationary photos are harder than the above- I haven't changed anything - or rather hadn't - I have now to fix it without success.
The limiter on the side is not the problem because I changed it

So you're saying the camera/lens combo won't focus on anything? Not even a stationary subject?
In such situations, when you take a photo, is there a discernible plane of focus somewhere in the image? On the subject where it should be, but the camera is struggling to acquire or lock the focus? AI Servo or One Shot focus modes? Have you tried other lenses on the camera? Other cameras with the 100mm lens? Same results? Different results? If different, with which combination?
I think we need a more detailed description of what the problem is.
