Osprey's Typical Day
p.1 #1Osprey's Typical Day
Ospreys usually fish twice daily and also have many misses, but when tending to a nest with a female and 2-3 siblings,
the male is demanded to keep feeding them, especially when the siblings are awake.
I was at the pond a couple days ago; this guy perched and didn't move for a while. I knew eventually he would do something,
dive or take off after a period of time, finally, but the show was worth the time; an example, patience does pays off. Enjoy Chris S

This is a great sequence Chris. Some osprey couples traid roles while others are as you described. It's a lot of work providing for a family of 5.

Most excellent! I was paddle boarding today and watched a pair circling the quiet lake we were on, but no action like this. Thanks for sharing your exciting shots.

Wow Chris ! That first image is incredible. I would hate to be on the receiving end of those talons. Fantastic set.
