Hi, all - I've had my M11 for over a year and never had a problem. The screen has just started blacking out after a few seconds, during live shooting. The menu and playback screen works fine. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Are you using Visoflex? I am asking because dirt+dust can cause the proximity sensor to malfunction tricking the camera to believe that you're pressing the EVF against your eye, shutting off the LCD.
I have the FN button assigned to Auto/ EVF/ LCD, so able to go through screen modes. I think that’s the only screen on/ off in the menu. I’m not using Visoflex.
I reset the camera and it seemed to fix the issue. Then it started doing it again, so I reset the camera again. I kept user profiles both times. It’s back to working again on second reset. I guess if it does it again I’ll reset the whole thing (including user profiles). Oh and it’s firmware is updated to the latest 26.1
Hi, on my M11-P there is on the menu screen a box (one of the 12 boxes on the bottom that has "LV" assigned to the box. I at times inadvertatly touch it and it turns off live view as indicated by a red diagnal line through the "LV" . This will turn off the liveview screen but still allow the menu and playback modes to be active.
I know where you mean. Maybe. Hopefully that is what happened by mistake and I didn’t notice. The troubling thing is, it was on for a 2-3 seconds before turning off. I’m hoping the reset has worked this time. Thanks for your input 👍

Done that a few times. Worst is that if LV is off, the next time you turn on the camera and dont know, the screen will be blank and you might think the camera is dead.
