This Snowy Egret flew toward me and then landed on a dead tree and put on a nice show at the perfect distance to photograph it. I'm posting my faverate from the flight and then a number of behavioral images.

As soon as I arrived I noticed the stunning colors the grass had.
The first is a beauty Morris. Unfortunately he landed on the wrong branch. I think one of the best features of Snowys are the feet and these are hidden.

I have another set coming and in most of them, the feet are visible.
Super rendering on these Morris, the Snowy is a favorite of mine, and sized nicely in between the larger great and smaller cattle egret but their plumage and grace is my favorite of the 3 types around here, even if metering the whites is a pain in full sun.

I think you camera has a highlight clipping warning. I do it by eye. When I used to shoot manual I used -1 EV for white birds. In Florida I had to use -1.5.
