Yes..not only do I stil have my AE-1, the FD50mm 1.4 is the ONLY lens I used on it.

A friend gifted me that exact camera and lens earlier this year with a roll of film. I haven't used it (or figured out how to), but I think this is my sign to finally do so!

It is very ez to use and yes that lens is excellent. I still have 1 roll of Kodak 100 color film from 40 years ago..Probably would still process well.
Never had that camera, but I remember the commercials!
