The Samyang 60-180 is out and early tests look really good to me. The 730g weight and 60mm starting FL are killer apps - anyone who has used a 70-xxx telezoom will know that every 10mm on the wide end counts - and I like Samyang's signature creamy bokeh on this 60-180 (to my eyes a very similar rendering to the Samyang 35-150). I'm often dreaming of repurchasing the Sony 50-150 GM but am now really tempted by this "poor man's 50-150 GM" https://youtu.be/9xB7piazXBA?si=VxjkBSpXN-85eXvm (use YouTube's auto-translated captions) https://youtu.be/SdBFYGeUBUo?si=a0eDM2JCPQObE_X- https://youtu.be/GeS5Fo-K3hY?si=mBVGgpRkHLcnq0ys
@KarmaKramer Point taken. I've owned several copies of the Samyang 35-150mm in my time on both E-mount and L-mount - all equally sharp with equally fine AF from what I could tell. I did get zoom creep with some of them, and the one that didn't have zoom creep actually had a stuck zoom mechanism altogether after a couple of years, although credit to Samyang and their UK distributors they did arrange for it to be sent back to LK Samyang in Korea completely free of charge as it was fortunately just about still within warranty period. In short, I wouldn't personally have any particular concerns about copy variation though as always, YMMV.
