I’d probably go Viltrox if the price difference is really that big. The Sigma is nicer to carry, but the Viltrox seems to have excellent IQ and AF for the money. The weight would be my only concern coming from the 35 GM

I love the Sigma 35/1.2 II but it was CAD$ 941 more expensive than the Viltrox (with the discount) so it was a no-brainer for me to get the latter.

I have the Viltrox N version... but I just got a good deal on the Siggy. It's coming on Monday.
I love the Viltrox.. but don't love the size. I will compare the two... and sell one.

Good luck Donzo with the new Siggy, looking forward to seeing some pics. Apparently the Siggy's edge (apart from less weight/heft) over the Viltrox is sunstars. If the price difference was 'only' C$500 I would have gone for the Sigma. I'm more or less a 'buy and hold' kinda guy so I'll keep my Viltrox. I hope this rivalry carries over to the 50/1.2 lenses as I am interested in the upcoming Viltrox. However, Siggy here has already started discounting their fast 50.

Here are a few Siggy test shots... all at 1.2 on the A1II. First impressions... size/weight difference is immediately apparent. IQ is excellent on both. Amazing that the Viltrox is so good at it's price.

So which one are you keeping---Sigma or Viltrox? BTW, how is the Sigma's AF performance in low light? My Viltrox sometimes would 'hunt' in low light as well as when the subject is heavily backlit by the sun. That is the only weakness of this lens.

Does the lack of an iris lock on the Viltrox bother any of you? That's one of my bigger gripes of lenses, every time I use a lens with an iris lock it's hard to go back to a lens without it.
