p.1 #1 · Simplifying the A7CII

Hi Everyone

Has anyone thought how it might be possible to simplify the interface of this camera, I am currently writing a guide based on what I have found, my needs are fairly unique (in my mind....) in that I want to just set the camera up so that the positions 1,2 and 3 reflect what I want to use the camera for.

example:
1. daytime monochrome imagery(RAW Only) mainly for street, and using highlight metering.
2. colour daytime photography (RAW Only) mainly for street, and using highlight metering.
3. Setup for evening / lowlight

all other buttons to an extent locked down, so I cannot mess up the stored settings in 1,2 and 3.

Main aim is simplify the camera setup so I can concentrate on capturing images / composition etc.

So more than anything I am looking for thoughts, good ideas, and not looking forward to being dissuaded, as I have other cameras with everything enabled. but always looking for advise on the above or tips or other tricks I might n0t have thought about.

Unless I am missing something just set your settings to what you want for each of your examples and save them in the memory you want.

I just use A in my everyday shooting as it gives me an extra bank. 1 is single AF color. 2 is a mono setting. 3 is a landscape mode using rear button for AF. I wish we had a couple more, but there’s always the memory card save options. End of day, this is a pretty basic camera.
