I emailed Shoten about ordering the LAILENS in the silver and they sent me an ebay link for me to purchase it. I bought it about an hour ago and it showed 3 in stock but is now showing sold out. I'm not sure if they created the link for just me or if it really did sell out that quick.
I am debating the Tribute as well but the LAILENS being limited made me pull the trigger on that one first.
Shoten Kobo's website (PC version) now shows that the Lailens is still available in Silver and Black can also be ordered but seems to be out of stock for the time being and scheduled to ship in early August 2026.
I have orders / pre-bookings for Shoten Tribute 01, CV 90/4 Apo-Lanthar and MS-Optics Apoqualia 35/1.4 (BP) re-release currently that are all about to ship in August or so, so I'm already overshooting my lens budget currently. I'll stick to those for now
I still need to email MS-Optics about the silver 35mm as they said they would reach out but I haven't heard anything yet. I've been wavering due to having so many 35's but I'd hate to have to go through the hassle of tracking down a secondhand one in the future with how scarce they tend to be.
I already received a shipping notification for the LAILENS, DHL is saying it should be here in two days and eBay is saying a week so hopefully it gets here before the weekend so I can test it out.

I ordered a lens from Shoten's eBay a couple of months ago, and it took 5 days to arrive from Japan to the West Coast. DHL is **FAST**, but the bottleneck is always how long it takes to go through Customs, which is always unpredictable.
Please post some photos after receiving the lens and give us your impressions.
Yeah, the lens hood looks bigger than I'd like. I will probably not use the hood regularly with this lens but it will be fine as it's really a character lens and flaring will be part of the character. I'm usually a fan of compact and light when it comes to both lenses and hoods.
I think the hood is also same (except the engraved label) as with the new Lailens. Saw some images of the Lailens hood in the listings too and I thought that Tribute 01 might come with a similar one since all the other body parts seem to be shared as well and that seems to be the case.
Anyway, it's good to see that they are progressing well with the Tribute 01 too and starting to promote it more It should mean it's on track to ship in August.

I received the LAILENS today; will have to wait for a few days to snap some sample pics but here it is mounted on my M11-P Safari (guest lens a custom order Peace Lens Optics 50/1.4 in olive). It also uses the huge push on hood from the Tribute 01 and I can't imagine me using it very often haha. The lens came in a leather case inside a leather box and the hood was separate in its own plastic box.
Will maybe make a thread on its own for when I post sample pics and impressions. I checked focus wide open just in my office and will probably be using the Visoflex or perhaps trying it on the SL3 when shooting 1.1 haha
I received an e-mail update from Shoten Kobo for the first time today. It looks like they will ship the lenses and hoods and lens cases first to those who have pre-ordered, and outer boxes will be shipped separately afterwards since they'll take some more time time to produce. The lenses should arrive around 8/20 for those who have pre-ordered (not sure if exactly same applies to international deliveries).

Also got an email update with the same delivery schedule. The first paragraph has a blurb explaining that some customers who registered with Gmail weren't receiving emails **from** Shoten and they just corrected the problem. So maybe that's why this is the first email you received. (I didn't register with Gmail)

Yes, it might be the reason. I registered on their site using Amazon JP login / Amazon Pay a few years back and ordered some adapters, and my Amazon account uses my Gmail address. For this order I logged in using my my pre-registered Amazon login. I didn't even get any order confirmation mail from the store when I had place my order (but I did get one from Amazon about payment completion).
Looks like these Shoten Tribute 01 lenses have been shipped out today to Japan local customers who had pre-ordered. I also found a tracking number on my order page and I set desired delivery time as tomorrow morning. The weather forecast for the rest of the week looks bad but I'll try to shoot some samples as soon as the weather co-operates. Looking forward to it!

Regarding the product we previously announced,
The lens itself and its dedicated lens case arrived at our company on August 10th.
After that, we proceeded with inspecting the products,
The inspection was completed today,

Please note that, as previously announced, the outer box is currently awaiting delivery.
(For customers who purchased the product from outside Japan, we will ship the lens once all packaging materials, including the outer box, are ready. We kindly ask for your understanding.)
