The church at Oosterwijtwerd is one of the oldest brick churches in this part of the province of Groningen.
It is a simple yet beautiful hall church with a recessed semicircular chancel dating from the twelfth century.

Love the olde "Country" of any Nation. Elegance in simplicity and gothic in history, less the "video games".

Wonderful image...I have only seen 1 BUT I have also "felt" 1!!! Cleaning bird houses and a peck on my gloved thumb...Looked in...OK...I will skip this birdhouse this season!

Dan this was around 7:30 am . The sun comes up here now at about 6:50 a m, the y are just starting to sleep for the day. Some times you can see them wake up and start to hunt just before sunset
